Interdisciplinary Studies (BI00) and General Studies (BI01)

Please refer to the module descriptions for detailed information of the formal requirements for modules BI00 and BI01.

Grade Entry and Recognition Process

Depending on the type of course attended, the process for recognizing credits earned in modules BI00/BI01 varies.

For courses offered through the Student Academy, grades are automatically submitted.

At the end of the semester, the results of all participants are compiled and forwarded to the Examination Board and the Registrar's Office (Studierenden- und Prüfungsverwaltung, SPV). The SPV enters the grade as soon as all necessary requirements have been met. In most cases, no further action is required.

For courses outside the Student Academy, students are responsible for obtaining appropriate documentation. This must include the following information:

  • Course completed with a graded final exam
  • Number of ECTS credits earned

Students should submit this documentation directly to the SPV as soon as all requirements are met.

Important note: Neither the Examination Board nor the SPV issues such documentation. Therefore, we kindly ask that you refrain from making such requests. To ensure that the course you have taken meets the formal requirements and that appropriate documentation can be issued, we recommend that you contact the course coordinator for the respective course about this at an early stage.
