The founding of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf was decided on March 2, 1990. The faculty consists of the departments: Statistics and Econometrics, Accounting & Taxation and Finance (BWL), Management and Marketing (BWL), Competition Economics - DICE (VWL) and International and Monetary Economics (VWL).

A total of 20 professor and 7 junior professor are responsible for teaching and research at our faculty.

They are assisted by motivated staff members who actively support them in their teaching activities as well as in the supervision of students. They are assisted by honorary professors as well as lecturers (three of them for the foreign business languages English, French and Spanish), who offer students valuable supplementary opportunities. The professors are supported by approximately 100 research assistants. Together, these teach the fundamentals of business administration and economics as well as the specialized knowledge of their respective fields in lectures, seminars and exercises. The relevant aspects of law and mathematics are offered by the respective faculties in cooperation with the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics.

In the winter semester 2020/2021, 2,674 students are enrolled in the Business Administration -, Bachelor (since winter semester 2006/2007) and Master (since winter semester 2009/2010) programs.
