Anniversary conference for the 100th annersary of the VHB from 08-11 March 2022 in Düsseldorf
Business Research: Thinking Ahead. Creating the Future.
The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf will organize the Annual VHB Business Research Conference on the occasion of the 100th annersary of the German Academic Association of Business Research (VHB) as the leading academic association for Business Research in the German-speaking area on March 08 – 11, 2022. The conference general topic will be „Business Research: Thinking Ahead. Creating the Future.”
Business researchers world-wide are increasingly paying attention to grand societal challenges, starting with the worldwide economic crisis triggered by the COVID–19 pandemic and extending to fundamental issues like global systemic competition, demographic aging, shortage of skilled workers, decarbonization or digital transformation. There is a pressing need for all sub-disciplines in business research to provide an academic conceptualization on how policy and practice approaches in firms must change to address these challenges.
The patron of the anniversary conference is the current Minister of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and former Rector of the Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart.
Representatives from all sub-disciplines of business administration will discuss important future issues in business administration in impulse talks, keynote lectures, symposia and scientific presentations.
In the course of the VHB Anniversary Conference, the Schmalenbach Journal of Business Research (SBUR) invites representatives of all business disciplines to submit papers by May 15, 2022, for the SBUR Special Issue "Transformation: Challenges, Entrepreneurial and Managerial Impact, and Consequences for Business Research and Education". If you want to submit a paper, more information will be found here.
